Several years ago, Dave bought a little slice of land on the shore of a nearby lake. He bought the land sight unseen at a tax auction and, because the price was extremely low, we assumed it was unbuildable, most likely on the edge of a cliff (lots in that particular area tend to be on cliffs without access to the water). He attends these auctions regularly (the farmhouse was moved to land he purchased at an auction, as well) and typically uses the land purchased for business purposes.
