These decodable passages are aligned with the science of reading. Specifically written to focus on the glued sound nk. Easy to use, no-fuss resource, simply, print-and-go! Each story also comes with black and white option for ease of printing. ⭐️My students love these stories and enjoy practicing their phonics skills with these cute stories. With these decodable passages, kids will work on decoding, fluency, and understanding all at once. With 3 different formats of each decodable passage plus sentence strips, your students will be able to repeat-read and increase their fluency. Great for sending home. These decodable passages review the glued sound nk. They also list any irregular or high-frequency words for review. Included in this pack are: 4 Decodable stories Each story is in 3 different formats: Passages - highlighting the focus sound and word reading. Foldable books with extra illustrations and practice activities on the back page - segmenting words, reading decodable words and answering a comprehension fill in the blank. Cloze passages - this worksheet has words missing and is a cut and paste style. This activity should be given once the student is well acquainted with the story. Decodable sentences - each story has 4 decodable sentences that can be cut out and used to put in order or simply used for sentence level reading practice. The best thing about these decodable passages is that they are aligned to a structured literacy progression. This means you won't find any complex long vowel sounds in there. Any exception to this is listed in the word list and is usually a high-frequency word such as look or took. Each foldable decodable is provided in both color and black and white. Each passage also has color and black and white options. These decodable reading passages are truly NO PREP! Print - 2 folds and VOILA a mini-book. No double-sided printing is needed. ⭐Perfect for a busy teacher and easy to give to students for folding. ⭐These would also make a great literacy center activity to consolidate learning that has taken place within a classroom curriculum, or send them home for home learning. ⭐I use these with my dyslexic students in my 1-1 reading intervention lessons. They provide a great way to practice phonics skills that have been explicitly taught and give options for extra review and home learning. ❤️ If you like this resource you may also enjoy using:- Decodable set for ck tch and dge here Digraph ck, tch, dge activities and anchor charts Dge vs ge anchor charts and word lists Phoneme-grapheme Visual Drill Cards Orthographic Mapping Folder VCCV Syllable Division Activities Phoneme Segmentation Board Games Please visit my store for other literacy resources and games Find my store here ⭐FREE DOWNLOAD⭐ If you have a struggling reader and are not quite sure what next steps to take, especially if you suspect a reading difficulty such as dyslexia, I have a free guide that will help you.
