After its trademark was first filed on September 15, 2005[1] (2-3 months before the associated rebrand was leaked and revealed), Intel launched the Intel Core processor brand in early 2006, and its logo was designed by FutureBrand. Several months after the launch of the Nehalem microarchitecture (and the Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, based on that architecture), all logos for Intel processors were updated (by FutureBrand), including the logos for the previous-generation Intel Core 2 CPUs.
