Designed by me, Julie Yeager (JulieAnny aka FiberJay), this 12” afghan square is fast, fun and deceptively easy to crochet. Use black as your outline for a stained glass effect, or go with a bright or muted palette. You can’t go wrong, and I’ll bet you can’t make just one. This is a written pattern in English, in U.S. Crochet terms. NEW: Now includes older version (2017) plus chart. Includes link to a photo tutorial. Also updated in 2023 with Mary Maxim Version, which changed the last few rounds. This pattern has been successfully completed by hundreds of crocheters. Offering the pattern only - you will need about 150 g of worsted weight yarn in three colors and a 5.5 mm (Size I) crochet hook for one square. The updated blanket version requires 6 skeins of Mary Maxim Prism and 4 skeins of Mary Maxim Best Value for a finished afghan of 44” x 66”. Feel free to sell finished objects made with this pattern. Thank you for your interest in my patterns.
