Detail of the exquisite array of 15th century sculpture surrounding the east window of the Beauchamp Chapel. The survival of this complete sequence of angels and female saints is little short of miraculous considering the destruction of such images elsewhere, a unique glimpse of the richness of church decoration in pre-Reformation England. Images from a visit to the scaffolding surrounding the Beauchamp Chapel at St Mary's, Warwick in June 2014, prior to the start of major restoration work on the exterior of this gem of a building.
