Here's my cheat sheet with 8 sample questions to help guide your talent review discussions. 1) Strategic Alignment ↳ What are our organization’s key priorities for the next 18-36 months? 2) High Potential Identification ↳ Who are our HiPos? How do they align with our priorities and future needs? 3) Succession Gaps ↳ What critical roles lack a clear succession plan? 4) Developmental Focus ↳ What's the most critical development action for each HiPo and successor to accelerate their readiness? 5) Key Talent Retention? ↳ What is the retention risk of key talent? How can we mitigate these risks? 6) Action Plan Clarity ↳ What specific actions are we all agreeing to take as a result of this review? 7) Accountability ↳ Who's responsible (non-HR) for taking each action? 8) Follow-up ↳ What is the timing and expectation for reporting back on the progress and outcomes of the actions identified? 📍My cheat sheet has the purpose of each question.
