Happy Mother's Day! On Saturday, hubby and I stopped off at one of my favorite antique stores called Granny's Attic. It is located in Temecula California. One of the first things I say was this galvanized watering can sitting among the pretty flowers. It reminded me of Funky Junk Interiors blog. Donna has a weekly party called Saturday Nite Special where she has 3 separate categories that you can link to. She always has a Home Decor, and a Crafts, Sewing & Cooking linkies. But every week she has a third section where the category changes every week. This week is Galvanized finishes. So I thought I'd take some photos of the galvanized finishes I found at Granny's Attic. So come along and let me know if you see anything you might want to buy. Don't you need a barrel to store your lard? How about some cool boxes? They had this old wagon full of watering cans. I need one of these. But I'm too cheap to buy one. This was my favorite thing with a galvanized surface. This metal bakers stand would look so fabulous in my kitchen. If only I had $1225.00. Do you think I could get my son to buy it for me for Mother's Day? I wish. I really liked this box. It had been black, but has the right amount distressing now. I really wanted this galvanized wire rack to show off some plates. But I couldn't bring myself to spend $18.00. And now it is too late. Someone else bought it. Boo hoo! Love this galvanized pail. I know these aren't galvanized finishes. But tarnished silver is another favorite of mine. Plus I love, love, love the 2 finials to the right. Someone else bought both of them as well. You snooze, you lose. I guess I really should be thanking whoever bought them. They saved me some money. Love, love, love this egg crate. And I need a galvanized wash tub. I could have really used it this past week while my washer was broken. So many old things had a galvanized finish. I know this isn't a galvanized finish, but I still thought it was cool. Too bad my brother isn't collecting these old lanterns anymore. This would be a fabulous one to have. Old galvanized stuff is expensive. At least to a cheap skate like me. I wanted this soooooo bad. But it was $169.00. It would go great in my Coke game room. Someday I may even get the room finished so that I can share it with you. Someday! I really, really, really liked these. They look like galvanized books, but they are storage boxes. I could use this one too. Just think of all the stuff you could store in this. Well I hope that you liked all the stuff with galvanized finishes. I didn't buy anything galvanized, but I did buy something. But you will have to wait until tomorrow as the battery to my camera just died as I was taking photos. And have a Happy Mother's Day! Linking to: Saturday Nite Special @ Funky Junk Interiors
