This virtual escape room activity is intended for introducing the Pythagorean Theorem. The digital breakout game will provide students with hyperlinked resources to discover who Pythagoras was and what he discovered. Video links show students how to solve for a missing hypotenuse to assist students in solving the problem of being “Locked Out” of their house and need the use of a ladder of accurate length. This team building exercise will provide learning, problem solving, and fun. If you have used digital breakouts before, all you will have to do is assign the link provided. The link is to a Google Site that holds the Google Form with the “locks”, hyperlinked resources to introductory information about Pythagoras and the Pythagorean Theorem, and hyperlinks to TWO videos introducing HOW TO use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve for a missing hypotenuse.
