In an interesting second installment in the Super series by author Palladian, Super: Underground continues the story of protagonist Lex and her friends. Lex isn't quite the same as she was before her adventures in the first book, Super: Origins. The drugs that she'd been forced to take have changed her. Fleeing DC, she and her gang of friends become traveling musicians, trying to find a permanent home where they might be safe. They are able to connect with friends that they had worried were lost forever, and hope they've found a place where they'll be safe from the labs that once claimed ownership over them. Will they be successful, or will even the best laid plans be foiled? You'll have to read the book to find out! I very much enjoyed Super: Underground. Author Palladian has done a great job in continuing this series. The author has created characters that readers can relate to and connect with, even in a paranormal setting and that certainly isn't an easy thing to do. Any reader that likes a unique and creative work of paranormal fiction should absolutely pick up Super: Underground. I am pleased to recommend this book, and am looking forward to reading more about Lex's adventures in the next installment of this very promising series. I hope that author Palladian is already working on the next book. I, for one, will certainly be watching anxiously for its release. If it follows the path of the first book in the series, it will definitely be one to read!
