The design keeps chickens dry and safe, with plenty of doors for access and outside runs. The main space includes a full 48″ roosting bar, full-height screened-in window, and a large 28″ x 25″ door in front for easy access to clean. The roosting boxes can be accessed with a simple pull up door on the right side of the coop to collect eggs from the outside. Depending on the breeds raised, it has enough room for flocks up to 6 - 10 chickens. The entire framework of the small flock chicken coop is built from just fifteen (15) 2 x 4 x 8’s, with the 2 x 4’s on end instead of using flat traditional framing. It saves both on space and material. With an access door on the side, it is perfect to attach to a run. Or, with its incredibly sturdy frame, put it on wheels and have your very own mobile chicken tractor coop! Perhaps best of all, beyond it’s extremely strong, durable and attractive look, it's also quite easy and economical to build! The simple 2 x 4 frame can be built quite inexpensively with basic 2 x 4's. And the coop can be finished with inexpensive wood siding as show, or even vinyl or metal siding as well. The plans include a complete framing, metal roof and wood siding material list, tool list, and a cut list. Plans also include the instructions for finishing with a metal roof and wood siding - but can easily be adjusted to use with other coverings if desired.
