Snowflakes are made from Fine Porcelain (English Grolleg) and are high fired to about 2240 degrees (cone 10.) The small snowflake is cut out of the interior of the larger flake. Once fired, they are carefully tied (requiring 3 different ties) so that the smaller flake dangles within the larger flake and creates a lovely sound/chime/tinkle when the two meet in any movement. The snowflake is unglazed, but the purity of the porcelain and it's 'glass-like' vitrification contribute to the quality of the finish, color and sound. Snowflake measures approximately 6.3cm or almost 3 inches from any point to point. There are three (3) different snowflake designs. I welcome any question you may have
