Image gallery for: Cutting 180 squares in 5 minutes šŸ‘ you should never be in a hurry when your cutting fabric and iā€™m usually one to slow down and enjoy the process but letā€™s face it sometimes saving a little bit of time is necessaryā€¦ especially when youā€™re doing a big project like this šŸ«£ i need over 1 200 squares for this quilt so this method was a life saver if youā€™re going to try this here are a few things i found helpful change your rotary blade itā€™ll be easier to cut through multiple layers of fabric with a brand new blade mine was relatively new but not right out of the package and you can tell maybe try a 45 mm or 60 mm rotary blade iā€™m using a smaller one here but a bigger one is always helpful when cutting through lots of layers align fabrics as best as you can prior to cutting i usually use my selvedge as a rough guide start small if this is your first time trying this maybe only start with two or three fabrics rotate entire mat to square up edges and cut pieces assess fabric frequently use the lines on your ruler to make sure everything is staying square with 90 degree angles use measurements on your ruler instead of your cutting mat for a more accurate cut go slow thereā€™s no rush remember that this is a time lapse šŸ˜‰ do you do this what other tips can you add now iā€™m back to cutting āœ‚ļø loandbeholdpatterns
