Reilly and Hailee Steinfeld. Produced by Studio Ghibli for Walt Disney Japan, Toho and the Nippon Television Network, When Marnie Was There marked a watershed moment for the studio. It would be the final film that animator Makiko Futaki would work on before his death in May 2016. It was also the final film directed by Yonobayasi before his decision to leave the studio. A fitting swansong, it was nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar. It is based upon a 1967 novel by British author Joan Mary Gale Robinson in which a young Londoner, Anna, is sent to Norfolk where she meets the mysterious Marnie. These beautiful little posters have never been folded and have Japanese text on the reverse describing the movie.
