I'm hoping I'm not boring you with more quilts. However, in my opinion all quilters enjoy seeing beautiful quilts. It is very meaningful to be a part of this auction. Some of the ladies donate their time every week of the year.....they are to be commended. The variety of the quilts ensures that there is something for everyone's taste. This wall hanging appears to be machine quilted, however it is not....very meandering hand quilting. This quilt stopped me in my tracks. The embroidery work on the blocks, was absolutely exquisite. Some lucky bidder took this heirloom home. This is the quilt which sold for 6,600 dollars. Every thing about this quilt was masterfully done. It is the work of Cody Mazaron. The Hand quilting is exceptional. Phyllis Dickinson, sent this picture of how she set all of the blocks from the civil war blocks she made which could be set on point. Thank you for sharing this with us Phyllis, it gives another idea. Phyllis states she has several other blocks made which still need to be put into a second quilt. Hopefully she will share that with us too. "True wisdom lies in gathering the precious things out of each day as it goes by." -E. S. Bouton
