It seems like the camera never does this building any justice, it has a much lighter presence that I can ever capture. This is the Combined Heat and Power Facility at Arizona State University by Machado + Silvetti, with the local architect Gould/Evans. The building is essentially one huge space for the power unit, clad in these precast panels. The discipline of the panel comes from the semi-tractor trailer bed. Each one of these panels were brought in during evening hours by a semi and then raised to clad the facade. The panels in real life (as opposed to this picture) play quite a bit with your eye to figure out what's solid, shade and shadow. This shot as compared to the next one in the stream, is closer to the white of the panels. Also, all of the patchwork does not appear so much in the real life view.
