About An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver and enamel jewelry or trinket box, an addition to our ornamental silverware collection. This exceptional antique George V sterling silver jewelry box has a rectangular shaped form. The surface of the body and sides of the cover are plain and unembellished, the upper and lower portion of the box has a plain convex border. This antique jewelry box is fitted with an impressive hallmarked hinged cover embellished with a pink guilloche enamel panel which reflects a wavy concentric ring design, emanating from the centre. This sterling silver and enamel box is supported by four scrolling bracket style feet. The body and cover of this fine jewelry box are fitted with a lined interior, the interior has been recovered in crimson fabric replicating the appearance of the original covering. The base is weighted, as to be expected, and is fitted with leatherette to the underside. Condition This antique silver and pink enamel jewelry box is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The enamel is in perfect condition. Full hallmarks struck to the body of the box and part hallmarks to the surface of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are deeply struck due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
