Willy Lott's House is featured in John Constable's paintings the Hay Wain and The Mill Stream and stands opposite Flatford Mill. It was begun in the sixteenth century, with additions in the 17th century and is classified as a Grade I Listed Building. This is view is taken from a similar angle to that in the Hay Wain, which was exhibited in 1821 and today hangs in the National Gallery, London. The beach in the painting has disappeared.
