The effects of light cast through hand-blown panes of glass at Barrington Court created glorious textures on the stone. I was initially disappointed in this shot. I have done a good deal of work with it in photoshop to try and bring out the character of the shot as I originally saw it. The curtain on the left seemed less dark and this is just one of those shots where the camera is not sensitive enough to capture the full depth of tone and light. In the end I settled on bringing out the highlights of the light on the folds rather than the whole curtain which proved to be very noisy.
