Explore Oct 10, 2011 #202 My dear friend George Cole is a collector. Whether he is riding his bike or taking his two boys camping, he has his eye on the side of the road for garage sales and unique treasures. Last year George moved back to England and gave our friend Rexx his mediation chair for safe keeping. Now Rexx has passed the responsibility for this treasure over to me until he can resettle and reclaim it. Looks right at home in our jungle living room bathed in afternoon sun and shadow.George found it in the back of a shop that was going out of business. He thinks it's Indian. Does anyone know anything about it? I love the soft, worn feeling of its heavy honey-colored wood, so well used and cared for. The stubby round legs that support it. And especially the scalloped hinged folding back. Not much support but mediators are supposed to be centered in their own weight anyway! See my set, Living in a Jungle. www.susanfordcollins.com
