Despite the name, jojoba oil is actually a polyunsaturated wax that comes from cold-pressed Simmondsia chinensis seeds; it just happens to be chemically structured in a way that makes it turn to liquid at room temperature, which is why it has a such a thick, soft, velvety texture. 2.
