We woke up this morning to a startling temperature of -17. However, it's warm and cozy in our little cottage and I'm all geared up to share with you 30 of my favorite small spaces decorated for Christmas. Source: Coastal Living Welcome to the eighty-fifth post in the series "Living Large in Small Spaces". Truthfully, whether this is a small space or not, I'm including it because I have a crush on the chair. The rest of the decor is stunning, too, but that chair (sigh). Source: DigsDigs.com I'm partial to weathered natural wood with white. Throw in a plaid (just a tad faded) throw, and you've got me hooked. Source: DigDigs.com No doubt about the season in this traditional red and white room. The tree is loaded with ornaments. Sometimes more is just. . .more Source: DigsDigs.com Too much? Okay, then how about this minimalist look? Source: DigDigs.com You knew you'd find a traditional English cottage in my collection, right? Source:Ideal Home, UK Calm, serene, and altogether lovely. Very nappable. (Is nappable a word? No? Okay, it is now.) Source: Apartment Therapy How can you go wrong with a charming room that starts with curved ceilings and shuttered window and door? The Christmas tree is decorated with little birdhouses. Source:Freshome.com So cheery. I love the scripture verse on the wall. Source:Freshome.com Very cozy. Nice symmetry in this dining room. Source: DigsDigs.com A yellow and red Christmas? Why not? The black grounds it nicely. Source: DigsDigs.com Evergreen and ornaments hanging from rustic beams. I'll take it. (The table runner, too.) Source: DigsDigs.com Oh, yes, here's another dining room with evergreen and ornaments hanging from a beamed ceiling. Remember last week I mentioned I'd like to start a star collection? Here are two I'd add. Source: DigsDigs.com So romantic. Many years ago I owned a trestle table. I love this one painted white and paired with chairs and a bench. Source: DigsDigs.com For all my banner-loving friends, this one's for you. Source: DigsDigs.com French-inspired table setting. Cute chair covers. Source: DigsDigs.com I'm pretty sure I've shared this kitchen before. It's definitely a favorite of mine. Imagine descending the stairs in the morning. (By the way, this kitchen belongs to the beach cottage in the first photo.) Source: Coastal Living Vintage cuteness. I seriously doubt my husband would understand hanging aprons on the window, though. Source: MSK Interior Who says there's no room for a Christmas tree in a small home? Maybe next year I'll try this charming look. I own lots of flower pots and have plenty of white paint. Source: DigsDigs.com So much character in this room. Notice the shabby chic frame with the hanging ornaments? Photo by Marks & Spencer Very sweet. This speaks to my love of fabric and patterns. Source: InspiredHomeIdeas.com Okay, this is a bedroom where I'd like to spend the season. Rustic - check. Pretty - check. Comfy/cozy - check. Bring in the hot chocolate and a boatload of magazines. I'm ready to snuggle down and wait for spring. Seriously, why is this cat not entangled in those lights? Source: DigsDigs.com This child's room is so sweet. I love everything about it and could absolutely see this as a guest room with a bigger bed. Even the owl pillow -- which I personally believe is the best owl pillow I've ever seen. Maybe it's the pale blue that I like so much. Source: DigsDigs.com Here's another kids' room I like. Source: DigsDigs.com This one was found in the "kids" category, but would make such a charming guest room. Source: DigsDigs.com A kids' treehouse all decked out for Christmas. Adorable.
