This is what Messerschmitt and Fritz Fend had in mind as successor of the KR-200 later FMR-200 cabin scooter. This vehicle was designed and built in 1957. It also had three wheels and a side-hinged plexiglas dome, but then, according to the retro-future car style, with tailfins and narrow sidepods. The front had a fake air intake like a jet nozzle. The small front fenders were more profiled and the bodywork completed with a chrome strip. Again a 191cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine was mounted in the rear. Since the business was worse overall, the project was not pursued. It remained a prototype. Source: Von Thyssen’s Lexicon. This is a restored and colorized black and white photo.
