What lesson do I need to learn right now? How can I align with my truest self today? What limiting belief do I need to release? What strengths can I embrace more fully? What is my theme for the week? Tips for a Deeper Journaling Practice Write Freely Don’t censor yourself—trust your gut. The goal isn’t to be right, it’s to explore. Use Symbols & Drawings Sketching the card, a symbol you noticed, or the emotion it evokes, can deepen your connection. Reflect Over Time Flip back through past entries every few weeks. You’ll be amazed at the patterns and growth you begin to see. Make it a Ritual Light a candle, burn incense, use essential oils, or meditate before your journaling session. It sets the tone and makes it sacred. Collect Inspiration If you’re like me and constantly receive intuitive hits or synchronicities, keep a notes app or small notebook with you. Jot down songs, quotes, or movie scenes that remind you of a Tarot card—they often turn into beautiful journaling prompts. For Beginners: Start Simple You don’t need to memorize all 78 cards or use elaborate spreads like these, to benefit from Tarot journaling. One card a day is more than enough. Focus on: How the card makes you feel What it reminds you of A word, phrase, or story it evokes Let your intuition lead. A Real-Life Example When I pull the same card repeatedly, I don’t see it as a “stalker card”—I see it as a lesson card. My intuition is telling me to carefully consider and investigate this message further. The Tower, for instance, has frequently appeared in my readings amidst times of great instability, mentally or in the physical world. Over time, I learned to embrace the message instead of bracing myself in fear. My past Tower journal entries showed a recurring theme: breakthroughs always came after breakdowns. The card’s intention wasn’t to intimidate, but to encourage me to abandon the unstable so I could construct a stronger foundation. Conversely, The Star often emerges during periods of emotional recovery and renewed hope. In these times, journaling helps me reflect on past struggles and embrace renewed trust. Maintaining a Tarot journal helps me identify recurring card lessons. As time passed, they’ve become my trusted advisors, showing me the path to growth, not fear. Ready to Deepen Your Practice?
