Empyreal Empress Mask These masks look great on your wall or on your face! This wearable art is inspired by both traditional wood shaman masks and contemporary geometric art. The masks are made from layers of intricately laser cut birch plywood stacked and glued together. The eyes have dichroic acrylic lenses that reflect light but can easily be seen through with some of your peripheral vision limited. The mask is padded for comfort and is held on with a 3 point strap system. For the painting scheme we can do basically anything you want. Do you have any specific ideas of what colors you would like your mask custom painted? We can make it your favorite colors, or paint it to compliment the room that you will display it in. I can do anything you have in mind from muted natural tones to vibrant colors or flashy metallics, some glow in the dark, or holographic glitter effects. If you don't have anything in particular in mind I can come up with a fun color scheme for you! The LEDs I normally use for the mask are sound reactive, so if you are wearing it it will light up with your voice, or if it's on the wall it will jump to music playing. There are multiple sound activated patterns in addition to many other patterns and solid color options. You can switch between basic settings using a small controller on the back of the mask, or use the Bluetooth app to get even more options and settings. I power the mask with a cord running to a rechargable usb battery pack that the wearer of the mask keeps in their pocket for a long battery life and to avoid adding a heavy battery to the mask itself. You can also run the mask with a standard phone usb outlet adapter when it is being displayed on the wall. I will make a donation to plant a tree for each sculpture sold with One Tree Planted.
