When I think of Japanese concept cars as of late, all I can remember are boxy people movers. A few have caught my attention like the CR-Z, FT-86 and LF-A but for the most part they have been forgettable. But it wasn't always like this, the Japanese were extremely creative when it came to concept cars and they did not focus solely on box shaped vehicles. Pink Tentacle posted up a great collection of Japanese concept cars from the past 50+ years, we can see obvious ties to vehicles that ended up being produced but some of the more wild ideas didn't make it to the production floor.
