The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute has revealed its next spring exhibition: “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, named after Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay. Expect flamboyance and eccentricities on full display, dating all the way back to the Court of Versailles, when the term “camp” was invented and going right up to contemporary fashion, where designers push boundaries further each season. As per tradition, Anna Wintour will head the MET Gala, which takes its theme from the exhibition. However, this year’s co-chairs have been announced as Alessandro Michele, Lady Gaga, Harry Styles and Serena Williams. We can’t wait.
