It shows each microphase and what phonics skills are taught in each microphase. This is a great visual to send to parents to help them see where their child is along their journey. Parent Information There are 2 reading assessment information sheets that can be sent home to parents with additional information. One sheet includes letter names and sounds for lower students/grades. The other sheet includes fluency (words per minute) for higher students/grades. A spot for additional notes is provided as well. There are 2 “how to help at home” sheets provided as well with ideas to help with spelling, decoding and fluency (words per minute) or letter fluency. Student Level Tracking These sheets are to help your students track their progress as they continue throughout the program. There are 4 sheets for each microphase (pre-alphabetic, partial alphabetic, full alphabetic & consolidated alphabetic). There is also a 1 page sheet of all microphases (pre-alphabetic to consolidated alphabetic) After they master each cycle, they color in the circle and go to the next cycle in each microphase. Leveling-up Certificates There are 4 certificates to congratulate students as they level-up in the Skills Block Program. These resources follow the EL Skills Block curriculum. Is this resource editable? The assessment and phonics progression documents are editable through google slides. Not all areas can be edited though. The special fonts used as subtitles and on the certificates can not be edited. You can however, delete the font image and you can add a text box its place.
