There's so much to see in this old drawer that's been turned into a shadowbox display that it seems like there's something new to see every time you look. One of my favorite things to do is go on walks and hikes in nature, and most of the items in this shadowbox were found on these walks. This display of weird and wonderful things is guaranteed to generate conversations, bring on comments, and even start games of 'I Spy'. A feather and beetle bouquet in a creepy old doll's leg, a desiccated rat that was found in an old barn, a mushroom that looks like a brain, a cicada on a little nest with an egg, a snakeskin in a jar, a wasp's nest, a deer's (I think) jaw bone, a rib from an unknown animal...these are just some of the interesting things you'll see. The shadowbox drawer measures 13" x 7" x 3 1/2". It's stable sitting on a shelf, but also has a sturdy bracket on the back for mounting on your wall. This is a piece of assemblage art. All items were either found in nature, old outbuildings, or in thrift and antique shops. All works are one-of-a-kind. Custom orders are always welcome, so if you have some little things you've always wanted on display but never knew quite what to do with them and you like what you see here, send me a conversation.
