Solid cherry bottle opener, with two options for mounting (rare earth magnets and a hole for a nail). Finished with a washcoat of shellac, followed by two coats of polyurethane, followed by paste wax. This combination allows the beauty of the American Black Cherry wood to show through, while providing a waterproof (and alcohol-proof) layer for its protection. The idea for the openers was born out of a production run of Christmas presents given to friends this year. I've had nothing but positive feedback for these attractive and functional pieces, although the items listed here are higher quality. My first few were not much more than hardware screwed into wood, but these are refined. If you want a custom opener, please contact me. I can acquire most species of wood with a few days notice and I'm happy to give you a quote. The hardware and materials (excluding wood) costs about $13. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments!
