This is a brilliant little tool that will help you with the Andean Plying technique. Traditionally you use your hand to wind the singles round... but this can cause a few problems, especially if you need to stop half way through. This method is used to ply one piece of singles from both ends. Once wound onto the tool it is released by removing the top peg to produce an Andean Bracelet. You then ply from both ends and if wound correctly it should not tangle! This method is really useful for samples or for using up the end bit that is usually left on one of your bobbins when plying conventionally. By winding differently this tool can also be used as a sample skein winder for mini skeins of sample yarns.
