SALE! 30% OFF! Offered is a simply outstanding Bridgerton Style 18th Century Colonial Style reproduction costume. The detail in this is exceptional. It is quite handsome and we are afraid our pictures and description do not do it justice. The fabric is a heavy weight brocade in cherry blossom pink and apple green. Pink 1 1/4" pleated gros grain ribbon is used for accents on both sides of the split front and the neckline. The pleating is so precise. The 20 3/4" sleeves are finished in a fine example of embroidered lace white on white with scallop edge. The lace is topped with a cuff of pink silk like material. The cuff is 3" of the total sleeve length and the lace is 4 1/2". The same silk is found in a 10 1/4" bow placed on the separate apron/pinafore so that once apron and over dress are together, the bow appears on the outside. The apron or pinafore is also in brocade but has light blue thin cotton waist band and ties. The hem of the dress is ribbon edged. It took us a little time to figure out how the two pieces actually connect, but we did find flat, broad metal tabs on the inside that make the connection. The apron has a halter style collar. The measurements were hard to determine, but please attend to the following: the apron has a 28" waist (it is open at the back); it is 10" across the front and 40" long. The dress is 16 3/4" from shoulder to waist; 41 1/2" waist to hem; 20" across the front; 32 1/2" waist as dressed with front closed. We believe this was produced as part of a display, possibly for costume wear. We do not find any evidence it was worn. And, again this is a reproduction. We found no holes and no stains. We did find 1/2" fray at the seam of the halter on the apron. We have not cleaned it, and there is no odor. It is quite heavy, so expect shipping costs to reflect the weight and dimensions of the box. Original listing price $250 Item 5368a More pics available upon request
