A superb example of a 17th Century English coffer. Having a planked lid, the front with a finely carved top rail, lozenge panels and stiff leaf stiles. All the carving is well executed and of a style associated with the North Yorkshire region of the UK. Excellent colour and condition retaining all the original boarding, till and hinges. One hinge has snapped but reattached a long time ago. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any queries or to request additional photos.
