Space Age Ernest Igl for Wilhelm Werndl directors Igl-Jet fiberglass desk, 1970s This design really evokes the ethos of the seventies - a bright and bold era - with the commonly used material of the time called fiberglass. Ernest Igl aimed to create a desk that focused on functionality combined with an aesthetically pleasing design for everyday use. This can be seen in the playful composition of curved lines and rounded shapes executed throughout the construction. For this outspoken layout, the designer uses minimal colors, such as a light green color on the drawers and white throughout the frame. Taking into account all stylistic implementations, this desk feels retro without clashing with contemporary interiors. Ernest Hofmann (1920-2001) - in 1954 he gave himself the stage name "Igl" -
