This sweet, magenta, light pink, and green, prickly pear cactus with blooming flowers artwork is part of an ongoing series depicting the beautiful nature and scenery of my desert surroundings. It is created with multiple hand-carved linoleum mounted wood blocks, one for each color with as many as six. The colors are mixed and rolled out and printed by hand via careful burnishing. The finished result is unique and original with no two prints being alike. Printed with oil paint on heavyweight BFK Rives paper 5" x 7" with ~ 1/4" deckle edge Fits any standard 5" x 7" frame and looks especially nice in a larger float frame Signed and numbered upon purchase 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 Reproduction: https://www.etsy.com/listing/803731787/pink-prickly-pear-cactus-art-print-4-x-6?ref=shop_home_active_2&frs=1 Large Size Reproductions: https://www.etsy.com/listing/803737477/desert-prickly-pear-cactus-poster-size?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1 * Artist retains all reproduction rights and copyrights. * Sale does not reflect transfer of copyright.

Desert Cactus Art Print One of the most memorable trips I have ever taken was exploring the Southwestern US in 2004. My best friend and I flew out west to Salt Lake City and toured the Western United States with her sister as our guide. The colors of the landscape there are something I will never forget. It is what I expected to see only on Mars. The Orangish-brown rocks, arches, and canyons contrast beautifully against the open blue skies. The plants there are alien-like as well. It's such a cool experience. This colorful art print is my interpretation of that stark contrast of colors that I will never forget. In this desert cactus wall art print I incorporated the contrast of the most memorable browns of the rock. My rainbow coloring of the cacti is meant to exaggerate the alien-like plants that survive some of the harshest conditions in our country. I highly recommend a trip to the Southwest if you have never been. -You can expect that this colorful wall art print will be printed with quality Eco-friendly ink with my quality Epson printer. -This print will be packaged in a clear protective sleeve and shipped in a bend- proof envelope. -Each of my prints will come with a free gift to show my appreciation to all of my customers. -This print does not come with a frame.
