Fosse… anche l’unico canto libero di Ophelia lasciami sfumare così infiorata di mia follia in assolo del fato che mi trascina via... ~ Catherine La Rose© ~ Friedrich Wilhelm Theodor Heyser was a German painter from Gnoien/Dresden. He began studying at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts under Leon Pohle and Paul Mohn. After initially spending three years in Dresden, he attended the Kunsthochschule in Karlsruhe and then the Académie Julian in Paris. After completing his studies Heyser devoted himself mainly to portraits and historical paintings. Among the portrayed were numerous prominent figures such as Prince Regent Albrecht of Braunschweig, Prince Albrecht of Prussia and Prince Johann Georg of Saxony. In addition, Heyser created genre pictures, whose representations were based on German poetry, for example, "The Fisherman" after Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1886).

Auguste Toulmouche’s 1866 painting “The Hesitant Fiancée” is making the rounds on TikTok FYPs across the globe, inviting women of all ages to not only marvel at and meme-ify the bride’s pissed off scowl, but see themselves in it, too.
A curious oil painting by artist Erik Thor Sandberg. In the “personal interests” section on his Facebook page, Quantico, Virginia-based artist Erik Thor Sandberg includes the following “things”: dead things; naked things; vintage things; antique things; disturbingly cute things, and acutely disturbing things. All of which rather accurately describe Sandberg’s art, which borders on the genre of Magic Realism. If this is at all confusing to you, that’s okay. Let’s just say that the calling card of an artist associated with Magic Realism includes the incorporation of realistic images and scenarios into fantasy-based situations. Which is exactly what Sandberg excels at—creating beautifully weird and deeply disturbing paintings of people in peril or impossibly bizarre, often erotic-themed situations. Sandberg’s nudes are uncompromising and at times preposterously proportioned. Perhaps they are missing a limb or trapped in an impossible-looking contraption or circumstance. His work also possesses distinct dream-like qualities—or perhaps more accurately a nightmare that...

If you have a stair wall to decorate, then it is obvious that your abode has a stair, which means that you are moving up in life (pun intended). Having a stair and thereby a stair wall adjacent to the stairs is definitely an uplifting thought (there is that pun again). Jokes apart, the stair wall decoration is a joy to do given the location of the area you are decorating on. You can always decorate this area with photos of the family but if you want to be adventurous, then go with useful and creative DIY ideas to try and make things interesting.
