German sculptor Nando Kallweit produces figurative bronze sculptures and reliefs with aquiline and a graceful modern appeal. Kallweit is inspired by seemingly disparate cultures; the strength of ancient Egyptian sculptures, the dynamic forms of the modern Cubist movement, and an observation of our contemporary and future existence. Combined with a considerate approach, Kallweit renders archaic materials, such as blackened oak and bronze, with a palpable sensitivity. These forms are varied tirelessly in his creations. This 12 inch tall unique figurative bronze sculpture is created as a limited bronze edition: 4/50. This sculpture can be placed on any flat surface. Kallweit's unique sculptures can also be grouped to create a harmonious display. Free local Los Angeles area delivery, as well as Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping, is available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Close observation of each piece leads to the discovery of unexpected details that convey emotional robustness. Kallweit moves continuously while creating his sculptures. He works with an intensity and energy that he must balance with a sensitive and considerate approach. Kallweit’s work is permeated by a longing for the unknown, for the elusive, the divine, and the spiritual. The visual impact of his metal sculptures leaves a deep impression on the viewer. After completing engineering school in Germany, Kallweit began a successful career as a freelance sculptor. He currently lives in Essen, Germany. His work has since become coveted for public installations and private collections alike internationally. Immerse yourself in the abstract splendour of the Scottish Highlands with this captivating print. An homage to the breathtaking Plodda Falls, this Cubist interpretation deconstructs the fluidity of water and the stoicism of rock into an array of geometric shapes and intriguing forms. Cascading ribbons of azure and white water cut through a tessellation of earth-toned blocks, capturing the movement and vigor of the falls in a novel visual language. The palette of this print conjures the muted tones of heather on a misty Highland moor, with hints of amber and russet suggesting the warmth of the Scottish sun as it breaks through the canopy. The clever interplay of light and shadow adds depth, making you feel the cool spray on your skin and hear the thunderous roar of the water as it plummets into the chasm below. Each angular component fits together like an avant-garde jigsaw, inviting the observer to travel across the composition, discovering new paths and perspectives with every gaze. Suspended in this geometric dreamscape, the spirit of the Highlands is reimagined for the modern art aficionado. Whether looking to bring a touch of Scottish wilderness into a contemporary space or simply celebrating the fusion of nature with groundbreaking artistic vision, this print will command attention and stir conversation, all while honouring the raw beauty of Plodda Falls.
Let the fragmented tranquillity of Nairn Beach at dusk grace your living space with this evocative cubist rendition. The print captures the final fleeting moments of daylight as the sun dips below a serrated horizon of distant hills, casting a kaleidoscope of muted purples, blush pinks, and warm oranges across the sky. Angular shapes and interlocking planes merge seamlessly to depict the rhythmic waves lapping onto the shore, with reflections of the day’s last light dancing upon the water's surface in geometric harmony. In this piece, the traditional cubist palette is softened, inviting contemplation and providing a window into the serene Scottish coastline. The bold segmentation of the composition speaks to the innovation of the Cubist movement, allowing viewers to witness the landscape through a prism of abstracted forms and shifting perspectives. The artwork is an ideal choice for those enamoured with the unique Scottish seascapes and lovers of modern art alike. It offers a contemporary interpretation of nature’s beauty, ensuring that each viewing is a fresh experience, with new details and depths revealed upon each exploration of its complex tapestry. Embrace this print for its ability to transform your space with the quiet energy and cool tones of twilight in one of Scotland’s most beloved shores.
On November 6, 1912, the American artist Walt Kuhn wrote to his wife that Arthur B. Davies had arrived in Paris. Davies had sent Kuhn on a quest to secure the latest European works for the Armory Show, starting with the Sonderbund exhibition in Cologne, Germany and continuing to The Hague, Amsterdam, Berlin, [...]

Hannah Höch, Pandora, exemplifies from a feminist perspective, and with great eloquence, the proto-structuralist era in Europe starting with Picasso and the cubist movement in 1907, and later on unfolding into Dadaism in the early 20’s. As the pioneer of photo montage, the main exponent of feminis
