I love using fruit or vegetables in my compositions in colours that compliment the arrangement. Use organic shapes that bring texture and interest to the composition. Soft fabrics or styling cloths will add movement. My favourite stack of vintage French paperbacks is perfect to raise the bowl up off the table. Rachel has a lovely stand alone cupboard in the studio and this makes a warm, natural backdrop.

You don't need fresh flowers to make an event special, when you can create your own stunning rolled paper flowers! In this post, we'll show you how to make rolled paper flowers that are sure to impress! Use your cutting machine to cut out the rolled paper flower template from cardstock. The template looks like a big spiral. Rolled paper flower making TIP: If you want to use patterned paper for your flowers, double sided patterned paper works best. The size of the finished flower will be less than half the size of the template. So, don't be afraid to cut the rolled paper flower template as big as you can out of the cardstock! The rolled paper flower templates we used for these flowers can be found in the Wedding Font and SVG Bundle. You'll need a paper quilling tool. It's a tool with a slit at the end that fits onto the cardstock and helps with rolling it to create the flower shape. Insert the paper quilling tool onto the outside end of flower template. Start rolling the cardstock around the tip of the quilling tool. The cardstock will roll upon itself and build up, so just work patiently. Once you get the roll started, you may find it easier to remove the quilling tool to finish rolling the cardstock. You can roll the cardstock flower as tight or as loose as you desire. Keep rolling until you get almost to the end - stop rolling before you get to the circle at the end. Fold this circle onto the bottom of the rolled flower and secure with glue. Apply glue to the bottom of the rolled cardstock and add a little more to the cardstock circle. Then, fold the circle onto the bottom of the roll, and press to secure. If you have a nonstick silicone mat, you can press the flower onto the mat while the glue dries, and if any leaks out then it's easily removed from the silicone. You can use either hot glue or white glue. Hot glue will dry much faster, but just be careful not to burn yourself. For a more natural, and realistic looking paper flower, consider rolling the individual petals back. You can roll them back with your fingers or use the quilling tool, and you can do this either before or after rolling the flower. Here's what the flower looks like without rolled petals: Here's what the same flower looks like with rolled petals: The rolled paper flowers svg designs we used include a set of leaves, which we also cut into cardstock. When you vary the size of each template, and you end up with different sized flowers. And when you use different colors of the same shade cardstock, when you bring everything together, it creates a beautiful arrangement! These handprint lilies are so beautiful and surprisingly easy to make! They'd make such a thoughtful handmade gift idea for Mother's Day if you make a small bouquet and tie them together with a ribbon. Or you could make a bouquet of handprint Easter lilies if you use white paper. Can Easter lilies be pink? I think they're just white? Either way, they're adorable for spring and they're a wonderful low mess craft to make with the kids! I had such an awesome helper when I made these paper handprint lilies! My spunky 5 year old loves crafts, and she
