Horst Paul Albert Bohrmann born in Germany in 1906. He getting interest in architecture,and Le Corbusier invites him to come in Paris. After befriending the Vogue photographer, George Hoyningen-Huene, he switched from architecture to photography. Janet Flanner of the "New Yorker" discovers his works in a small exhibition in a bookstore in Paris, after this meeting Horst P. Horst will be assumed by Vogue. Horst is best known for his photographs of women and fashion, but is also recognized for his photographs of interior architecture, still lifes, and environmental portraits. His method of work typically entailed careful preparation for the shoot, with the lighting and studio props arranged in advance. Horst set out to create a parallel aspirational universe in which his subjects became mysterious and alluring. The elegance of his photographs took you to another place, very beautifully, the untouchable quallity of the people is really interesting as it gives you something of a distance. In 1937 meets and photographs designer Coco Chanel, beginning a lifelong friendship, he would photograph her fashions for three decades. His last photograph for British Vogue was in 1991, and he dies in Florida in 1999. Horst Paul Albert Bohrmann è un fotografo tedesco nato nel 1906.
