Established in 1993, the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles is the educational arm of the Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) – a Jewish human rights organization that is renowned internationally. The only museum of its kind in the world, the MOT is visited by over 250,000 people of all ages each year.
A hands-on experiential museum focused on educating people on the dynamic of racism and prejudice through unique, interactive exhibits. Renovation efforts transformed the dated museum into a destination reflective of the center’s humanitarian reach. New exhibit spaces, theaters, learning spaces and pivoting media walls with portraits and stories of civil and human right pioneers advance the museum’s mission.
