Carol Rama, una giovanissima "vecchietta" di 95 anni (nata a Torino nel 1918) che qualche tempo fa scrisse: “Il lavoro, la pittura, per me, è sempre stata una cosa che mi permetteva poi di sentirmi meno infelice, meno povera, meno bruttina, e anche meno ignorante… Dipingo per guarirmi” e ancora: “Ho scoperto di essere un’artista quando avevo più o meno 15 anni. Per me ogni problema era uno spunto. Invece di essere come le altre donne, pettegola e rompiscatole, io disegnavo. È un’opportunità incredibile.” O come scrissero di lei: «Il lavoro di Carol Rama è innovativo e giovane. Non importa l’età anagrafica, ma la qualità del suo lavoro e la puntualità rispetto al tempo che stiamo vivendo».
