I know I have juggled the days about, but this is my last class for CC 102, I now have all 30+ tags finished and the most fabulous resource for inspiration and teaching. So …......… the last 8 tags to go in my collection. Fabulous techniques using stencils. Sorry, the light is dreadful here this morning, it’s pouring of rain and I took about 30 photos of this tag and this is the best I can get it. #7 – Mixed-Media Layering #8 – Embossing with Stencils #8b – Embossing with stencils part 2 #9 – Embossing through Stencils #10 – Stencil Stamping #11 – Stencil Sketching #12 – Ink Monoprint #13 – Paint Monoprint My tags are all labelled, put in a ring and ready for me to use. Thanks to Tim, Mario and the team for putting this great class together and providing amazing inspiration, learning and a place to see and share our projects and other people’s wonderful take on the classes too. I shall miss this next week, but what fun it’s been. Before I get back to DT and workshop samples I would like to wish you a happy Sunday and thank you too for being part of my creative journey and for all the comments you leave, it is so much appreciated. “One very important aspect of motivation is the willingness to stop and to look at things that no one else has bothered to look at. This simple process of focusing on things that are normally taken for granted is a powerful source of creativity”. Edward de Bono hugs {brenda} x0x
Hi folks...well what can I say...we might have known that all that gloriously warm weather was too good to last...oh yes Summer has decided ...
Hi everyone I hope you are well, I have tag for you for this weeks theme which is crackle paste or crackle glaze I have used both in my piece. Firstly I used France's stencils rivets I used both the small and the large stencils. First I put down a layer of ferro paste Followed by crackle glaze coloured with prussian blue hue. I coloured the tag with deco art chalk paint then did washes with quinacridone gold & raw umber. I painted the heart with titan buff and added detail with stamps from Andy skinner washes followed. I wrapped wire round the heart and added gems. I highlighted the crackle paste with guiding wax and added gems below. I hope you all enjoyed my piece andThank you for popping by. Hi crafters! Today I have a tag to share using inks to create a lot of texture and layers. Please note: this post has affiliate links, for which I receive a small percentage of sales generated by the link, at no extra cost to you. Simon Says Stamp has a brand new release called Just For You and this tag was made with products from that release. I wanted to create something of a magical mushroom forest using the new Mushroom Stems die set. The Just For You release has a great mix of stamps, dies, stencils and other products which are great for both Easter, spring-time and other themes. There is even a pair of Pawsitively Everyday Scissors. I started by white embossing one of the pretty Simon Says Stamp Leaf Edges stamps on a tag. Smear Distress Inks on a non-stick craft sheet, mist with water and press the tag into the ink. Let dry. Repeat to get deeper colors and more texture. I added one more layer of Distress Ink after this photo and then finished with a tiny bit of Distress Oxide ink. I missed taking a photo of that step unfortunately. Die cut the Simon Says Stamp Mushroom Stems twice from heavystock paper. Press Lost Shadow and Frayed Burlap on a non-stick craft sheet, mist with water and press the mushroom parts into the ink. I used mainly Lost Shadow. Color the hats in the same way using various colors. Let dry and then repeat the process once or twice with Distress Ink. If you only touch the paper to the ink you get a splotchy appearance. As with the background, I did a final layer using Distress Oxide inks, but only in a few areas of the images. Shape the mushrooms with Tim Holtz Shaping kit and adhere the colorful hats with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Foam Tape. Dye May Arts Wrinkled Faux Silk Ribbon with Distress Ink, mist with water and crinkle. I adhered the mushrooms to the tag with more foam tape. The sentiments were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Forest Scenery, which wasn't a part of the new release. Here you can see the effect of the opaque Distress Oxide inks. I also used Simon Says Stamp Pretty Pastel sequins. You can make these mushrooms in any color imaginable. I dyed cheese cloth to form soil or undergrowth for the mushrooms. The small mushrooms are so cute. We had lovely sunny weather today, even though there is still some snow left. I am looking forward to spring-time in the forest. The tag has quite a bit of dimension. There will be more Just For You inspiration here on Saturday. Happy stamping! Today I'm sharing a tag made from a VIDEO pf one of my favorite carmaker, Vicky, who's 2013 project is a GREAT Art journal plenty of techniques and inspirations. Her last work is about coffee and it's lovely, but I was inspired by april's one that was inspired by reading and I try to make the book pile she created (Let's check her one, it's amazing!!) con questa tag partecipo ai due challenge di Simon says stamp che hanno come tema Anything goes: SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE SIMON SAYS STAMP WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE THANKS vicky! ευχαριστίες!
