Is being voted Most Likely To: Never Have Their First Kiss by the popular crowd at school the end of the world? Probably not, but I'm still not convinced. Does it mean that I have to find someone to kiss to ditch myself of the label? No, but I do it anyway. Is choosing my best friend's twin brother as my first kiss the best choice? Ha, not in the slightest. But when he walks into his kitchen after midnight shirtless, inspiration strikes. Even though it's a bad, bad idea. Because what is supposed to be a quick, three-second peck of awkwardness in the middle of their dark kitchen turns into however many seconds of pure bliss. I'm talking the kind of kiss in a rom-com that totally would've made me blush. The kind that makes your toes curl. For my first kiss ever, Reed Manning isn't holding back. But now he makes it crystal clear: the kiss that was life-changing to me means nothing to him. He's already got his next girl lined up on his own list of Brentwood High's most eligible, and it's not his little sister's best friend. Except that kiss totally messed with my brain chemistry, and I find myself thinking about Reed in ways I never have before. In ways my best friend would hate me for. Even when I shouldn't, I find myself dreaming about the boy next door. | Author: Sarah Sutton | Publisher: Golden Crown Publishing, LLC | Publication Date: Oct 25, 2022 | Number of Pages: 410 pages | Language: English | Binding: Paperback | ISBN-10: 1957283033 | ISBN-13: 9781957283036

About This floral photography has a dramatic sense of composition which recalls the careful arrangements of Dutch and Flemish still life paintings from the 17-18 century. Belgian photographer Isabelle Menin creates portraits of flowers that are not only gorgeous in form and color, but also uniquely expressive. Fresh blossoms and withering blooms melt into each other in dreamy washes of color and hazy drips and swirls. Hues and flowers are reflected in pools of water, as forms disintegrate and reappear in trickles and indistinct glimmers of light. The resulting images are breathtaking interplays of light and shadow, form and reflections, and breathtaking colors and textures. Looking at Menin's vibrant and organic work, it isn't surprising to learn that she has a background in painting. After working with paint for over a decade, the artist turned to digital photography instead. With rich colors, bold textures, and a stunning abstract quality, her creations look more like masterful illustrations and paintings than conventional photographs. Part of this is due to the digital manipulation that Menin loves using to transform and blend photos in order to create her beautifully moody images. Menin calls her work "inland photographs and disordered landscapes" in reference to the strange complexity of nature, which reminds her of human complexity. She says, "The uncontrolled forces, the shapes’ complexity, the interweavings and the synergy of the elements, they all look to me like a mirror of human spirit. We are no straight lines, we are like nature, a very large network of interferences that work together to produce something which sometimes looks accomplished and then gets destroyed in a perpetual coming and going between order and disorder." In the past five years, Isabelle Menin has had numerous exhibitions in Europe and internationally -both at art fairs and museums. These include the Belgium Modern Art Exhibition , Hongqiao Museum in Shanghai, China, OFF Art Fair – Brussels, Kunstraï – Amsterdam, MIA Fair - Milan – Italy, Setup Contemporary Art Fair, Bologna – Italy, Fotofever - Carrousel du Louvre - Paris - France , The Perception of Beauty - Group show - Sophie Marée Gallery (La Haye), Femmes de Belgique - Group Show - Sophie Marée Gallery (La Haye), and « FLORA » , Musée des Beaux-Arts, Mons, Belgium. Private moments such as worship are rare in Bridgman’s oeuvre, as he is better known for his scenes of modern daily life to which he turned in his later career. The Prayer is also distinguished by its rigorous, academic style of execution; painted when the artist was thirty, the influence of his teacher Jean-Léon Gerome is still strongly in evidence, in contrast to the more impressionistic technique he would adopt from the 1880s. Bridgman imbues the scene with a psychological intensity not only through the effects of chiaroscuro to bring the praying figure into strong relief against the dark background; unlike his teacher, Gérôme, whose numerous prayer scenes depicted the faithful from behind or in profile, with the mosque's mihrab in view, Bridgman shows the worshipper face on, allowing the viewer to share in his moment of surrender. I spent 35 years in the theater as an actor, director, playwright, and producer before shifting to painting. I was never a fan of Realism or kitchen sink dramas. For me, the more "theatrical" the production, the better. Not surprisingly, I was fascinated by Kabuki theater because if Kabuki is anything, it is definitely theatrical! Kabuki #4 was the last in a series of Kabuki costumes I painted - and I'm still amazed at how well it turned out. I finished this New Year's Eve, 2022. Each set contains four cards with the same picture, all on good card stock. Envelopes included.
It's 2022 but there are still plenty of people who struggle with computers. Not to mention all the complicated networks that connect them.

Thomas Kemp, the Libertine, turned cruelty, torture and humiliation into works of art. It was said that he had given his soul to something inhuman to be part of artistic immortality. It was said that his very ashes were used to make a set of charcoals still imbued with his spirit. When Shannon Hernandez, a traumatized and repressed art student, is tasked to draw with them by her lecherous professor, she feels a change in herself and something menacing calling out to her. She is offered a chance to create work that breaks boundaries and hearts alike but comes bound with a connection to a legacy of immortal terrors. | Author: Garrett Cook | Publisher: Clash Books | Publication Date: Oct 25, 2022 | Number of Pages: 182 pages | Language: English | Binding: Paperback | ISBN-10: 1955904243 | ISBN-13: 9781955904247
