The statue of the Goddess Athena at Nashville's Parthenon. This structure was built for the Centennial of the United States in 1876. Later on it was rebuilt to make it permanent. It is a full-sized accurate replica of the original in Athens, Greece. The sculpture was commissioned within the last twenty (give or take) years. An enormous amount of scholarly research went into its development and it's thought to be quite accurate. Thanks to Steve Frenkel for posting his photo..
