On Flickr there's some really neat groups of what they call "vintage" books, toys, etc. I grew up either seeing these items at my friends houses or I had them myself or saw them on TV. I guess that means I'm vintage! LOL! I wanted to make this gallery to remind me of what a happy childhood I had, even though when I read of the times...The Bay of Pigs, the Cold War... there were a lot of scary things going on, but I never felt that way. Sometimes, ignorance of the news is bliss! :-) My parents tried to keep our childhood home a place that felt safe and wouldn't discuss scary things happening in the world until we were older. God bless them, God bless my childhood and God bless America, still a wonderful country to grow up in!!
