About The Artwork Being a woman of color, and having faced harassment because of it, and given the current political atmosphere here in the U.S - it seemed so natural and a moot point to have my feelings and thoughts on canvas. In my watercolor paintings, I show how a person depends on the social environment and develops it. Where am I looking for places and subjects for my paintings ?! Of course, I walk around the city and watch all the time. It doesn't matter if I travel in my city or somewhere, I see places that are interesting in terms of color, composition and especially in terms of content. I like to draw more crowded places where meetings or some walks usually take place. More often than not, these are cozy cafes in the atmosphere of the city's urban streets. The vocation of the works is to show the world what it really is and to evoke powerful emotions from art, because it is nice when a person finds and recognizes himself in a painting, sees in it moments from his own life. I like to paint more crowded places where meetings or some walks usually take place. More often than not, these are cozy cafes in the atmosphere of the city's urban streets. Of course, I take most of the beautiful places from my travels, because they open my eyes to the beauty of the world, new places, the color of the city, architecture, old buildings and much more. Yuji Moriguchi's creature-filled paintings play with the sensibilities and tropes of manga and Ukiyo-e. Elsewhere in the artist’s work, he pulls on the thread of erotic art that has coursed through Japanese comic history. His recent work seems to take on a decidedly mystical tone.

She Will Find What Is Lost by Brian Kershisnik depicts a woman receiving divine help from a host of angels, rushing in to bless and support her. Though she may feel alone, she is actually surrounded by heavenly help. This print resonates with those suffering loss, discouragement, or loneliness. A number of Kershisnik's paintings depict angels interacting with mortal men and women. Brian writes, "My intention for this piece was to speak to the most intensely private and intimate kind of supernatural interference, influence, and assistance... Many unseen forces are interested in you, love you, and work to influence matters for your profound benefit. Most of what we all do is resist it, misinterpret it, or mess it up, but my experience indicates that these unseen efforts persist impossibly. I thank God for that." Over the last year, Polish designer and illustrator Janusz Jurek has been exploring different forms of generative illustration as it relates to the human form. Some of my favorites are collected into a series title Papilarnie where bundled lines that look like lightning or roadways on maps converge into 3D arms, feet, and other incomplete bodies. You can see more of his generative illustration work over on Behance. More

This is a fine art print of my original oil painting, "Transform". Inspiration: "In order for a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out, and everything changes. To someone who does not understand growth, it would look like total destruction." - Cynthia Occelli The flower I chose to incorporate into this painting is called "Lily of the Valley", or also know as "Lady's Tears". It is famous for its sweet smell, but also lethal poison. I wanted this flower to be a metaphor for things in life often being misleading. Pain can feel destructive, but what if it those pains are signs of internal transformations taking place? PLEASE READ: Prints 8.5" x 11" have an even 1/4" white border around all edges. About The Artwork This painting started when I took a poster from the streets and layered some paint over it, to create an abstraction of it. The materials are several layers of posters, glued on top of each other, which makes it quite heavy and sturdy. The raw surface also gives the painting a very natural look, comparable to works of arte povera.
