at some point in the summer, i shall be moving my studio from what is really meant to be the farm office into the old kitchen...it's over the other side of the house and looks into the front garden which will be rather nice. i'm not sure it's much bigger than the space i'm in now, but it's in the old part of the house and so has high ceilings and a big sash window. i've been pretty indulgent with lighting too so it's shaping up to be a really great room. it also has a mahoosive cupboard that i shall use as strorage and dark room. i'm excited... anyway, i started moving some boxes around (somewhat halfheartedly i have to say) and found these little paper collages i made at the beginning of the year. i've decided to sell them, so if you saw them months ago and liked the look of them, they can be bought at the very affordable price of $20 each (around £12)...just click here to go to my shop! i might even find some extra little goodies for the packages...

Hi all! I'm so happy and proud to be invited as a guest designer for one amazing challenge - Happy Little Stampers.I love all the inspirations on their blog and just how talented the ladies on the DT are. So for the May Mix Media Challenge the theme is "Shine" and you can participate with your sparkling projects as long as they have mix media techniques (stamps + ink, plus two other elements which add texture and/or dimension). For your inspiration I made a series of artist's trading cards which I brought at our annual "Cardsaddicted" meeting. I choose those lovely butterflies from the first stamp set that I ever bought and colored them with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. It's too bad that the camera couldn't catch the lovely shine on the wings. For the background I used several acrylic paints and stencils. And at the end I stamped some inspirational words. Simon Says: Stencil It CCM #163 Pearls or Gems CBD May Anything Goes! TTPH #101 Anything Goes CHF Challenge #6 - Anything Goes CWA Challenge 15 Used materials: Hero Arts stamps, Prima stamps,Stamperia alphabet stamps Archival Ink, Staz On Cadence stencils, Dylusions Paints, Tim Holtz ATC die, Coloring: Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens (Macaroon,Sea Brease, Moonlight, Peacock Blue)

Topic 13: Time Hi Everyone, Leandra here to introduce a new topic on the PaperArtsy Blog: Time. When I first started getting into this craft caper over 20 years ago, stamps that involved clocks, cogs/ gears, timepieces were among my regular favourites. I love how this images work in numerous situations, and easily provide a focal point. Before we get into the nitty gritty, here is Darcy with the winner for our last challenge which of course was Stencils. Darcy here...Stencils are so versatile, and you have come up with some brilliant techniques over the past 3 weeks. Amazing results have been achieved by reversing the stencil, layering your stencils, bumping, and using the stencil shape to create a transfer. Your finished projects have been stunning, from tags to journal pages, collages with embellies and sunny scrapbook layouts. Sooooo, the winning name out of the hat for Topic 12: Stencils..is...Susan Carol from Faith Words,Faith Expressions Please email Darcy to claim your prize [email protected] It's Leandra back with you to explore Time. First up, here is a short video. As you can see from the video, here at PaperArtsy we have numerous 'time' themed stamps, some quirky, some vintage, and some in the middle. Cast your mind back to 7 days ago, and you may vaguely recollect there was a new Hot Pick with Clocks on it too! Remember this...? But what I forgot to show in the video were these reasonably new stamps from earlier in the year, also Hot Picks. HPXT06 (lots of months/ dates), HPXT07 (large months in various fonts), HPXT08 (days/ timewords). We also have a 'clocks' series in the Ink and the Dog Stamp series. These stamps are 1/2 A4, so that is A6 size, about 3.5" x 5", and are available unmounted or EZ Mounted. These are still some of my favourite images from the Ink and the Dog series. Or if you prefer something a bit more quirky...how about these from Squiggly Ink? Again, there are numbers that are useful on clock faces, but there are also build-a-birds with clocks for tummies! So there are all kinds of stamps, and also plenty of minis that fit these themes already available. So what might you make with these, or any other time-themed stamps you might have to hand? Well here are some interesting ideas for you to consider! Well you could do some simple stamping/ masking and colouring onto AB pages, a bit like the above samples. Maybe you might find some time-relevant words to use in a journal page? Or maybe you will do something very mixed-media style with layers and texture, like these ideas Or this, a submission to Cloth Paper Scissors ? What about some layering of elements for a book cover? Or perhaps a book? I love how the pages are burnt at the edges, this also infers the passing of time, or perhaps how precious and fragile time is? The egg timer and clock are instered into niches, that are also distressed. Really nice book! But this looks like a lot of thought and planning has gone into this wonderful canvas. If you have a load of embellishments lying about, perhaps you might gives something like this a go? More here. There are many more ideas on my Pinterest page . I'll be pinning more over the next 2 weeks while this topic is open. I hope you can find time to join in! Leandra Topic 13:Time You are welcome to share your ideas and link up your creativity to this page. All links go in the draw to win a voucher to spend on products of your choice from the PaperArtsy online store. Sometimes, something simple works the best. An antique document dated 1804, a vintage postage stamp, rubber stamping, and a few fragments of decorative paper.
Hi everyone, Verónica is here. Today I come with a colorful and fun series of Atc´s that I have made with the beautiful Textured Birds set ...
Finally the time of year has come when living on sixth floor and looking out of our flat's windows feels as if the world outside has simply vanished at times. I love fog! Well, not exactly when I have to drive a car, but when walking the dog and finding ourselves being somehow "wrapped up" in a blanket that cannot be touched but that reduces sounds and makes me feel as if the existing world was only just within that small bubble around us that somehow "moves along" as we walk on. Today I tried to capture this feeling in images and (my own) words. I hope at least some of the meaning gets through to you. ;) Have a lovely weekend! xxx Stamp used: Indigo Blu - "Bare Forest I" Stencil used: Tim Holtz - Sizzix - "Birch Trees"
