Hello crafty friends! Today I have a sweet little baby boy card to share with you using brand new Pretty Pink Posh products. I used the Baby and the Little One sets. I heat embossed the word “…
This week the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is to make a clean and simple card featuring things you'd see in the sky... This week's sponsor is Simon Says Stamp!... and the winner of this week's challenge will not only be a guest designer with CAS-ual Fridays next month, but will win a $25 gift certificate for a shopping spree at Simon Says Stamp!! So let's see what creative masterpieces you come up with this week:)!! Here's what I made... I was inspired by a Baby shower card I saw by Papyrus...and made all my elements on my baby card things you would see in the sky! I used a cloud template that I found on the internet and used some little dies from a My Favorite Things die set(Notched Tag)...except the moon , which I punched a circle and punched a section off to make a crescent moon. I layered each a couple times and then adhered underneath the cloud and drew dotted lines to connect to cloud. I hand drew the stitched lines on the cloud and used a Hero Arts sentiment. Don't forget to check out the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see what the design team has come up with but don't forget CAS-ual Fridays on Facebook...you will find yours truly there every Monday and another Girl Friday there every day of the challenge for added inspiration!! The sky's the limit...hope you have a cloudless, sunny week:)!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Welcome to Day 2 of Simon Says Stamp's Best Days Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from my DT teamie, Tracy Freeman's blog. If you have just happened upon my blog and want to start the hop from the beginning, go to the Simon Says Stamp blog. We'll be giving away a $25.00 gift certificate at every stop on the hop, so don't forget to leave a comment! The winners will be announced at the Simon Says Stamp Store Blog next Wednesday, Mar. 14. I was thrilled to receive this Birch Circle die! Birch trees have always been favorites of mine, and a large one in our back yard was a big reason that we bought our house. I love the beautiful spring greens of the new leaves as they leaf out, and my card reflects that. supplies: white, Green Apple, Green Leaf, Audrey Blue, and Desert Storm card stock, Birch Circle die, leaf die, Flower Friend sentiment, bird from Oh Baby, Audrey Blue and Green Apple ink I cut the Birch Circle from both white cardstock and from a Desert Storm card front, then trimmed away the trees from the card base, and attached the white circle under it. The inside of the card was lined with a rectangle of Audrey Blue card. Then I attached some die-cut leaves in 2 pretty greens and the little sentiment and bird. My 2nd card is a baby card that is made with the new Sweet Elephants die and a sentiment from a stamp set called Oh Baby. supplies: white, black, and Green Apple card stock, My Favorite Things Tiny Check and Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots patterned papers, Simon's new Sweet Elephants die and sentiment from Oh Baby stamp set, Simon Stitched Circle and largest Scallop Stitches dies, tiny green buttons, adhesive foam squares I thought that the gingham and the mini dots were perfect for a baby card, and the little buttons were a fun embellishment, too. I used a teensy bit of black card under the elephant to make his eye show up better. And one more - simply using the Oh Baby die along with the sweet foot prints from the stamp set, set on a pieced strip quilt. supplies: white and Mint card, 1/2" strips of patterned papers, Simon's new Oh Baby die and their new Oh Baby stamp set, Stitched Rectangle and Stitched Circle dies, adhesive foam I cut 2 of the mint dies, and an extra of the shadow die in adhesive foam so that the whole thing would be above the background. I also popped the little footprints up. That's it for me - your next stop is at Gayatri Murali's blog. And don't forget to visit the stops along the Friday hop yesterday as well, for even more chances to win a $25.00 gift certificate! If you hop and comment on both days, you'll have almost 30 chances to win! Here's the hop order for today: Simon Says Stamp Blog Debby Hughes Laura Bassen Yana Smakula Nichol Spohr Amanda Korotkova Amy Rysavy Lisa Addesa Heather Hoffman Barb Engler Bibi Cameron Tracy Freeman Lin Brandyberry Gayatri Murali Thanks for stopping by - happy hopping!
Hello, I made this a cute triple pop-up cube card for my friend last week. I used my old favorite, the "A New Little Someone" stamp set, which I had over 10years. I created this card before the Coming Home's triple pop-up cube card. So this card is my first tried triple pop-up cube card.
Today is WHAT IF? Wednesday - the day you are challenged to create a card with a sketch from Wendy of Repeat Impressions. You can find the sketch and the details here. How about joining us? :) You have two weeks to create your card, upload it, and link it to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built. Have fun! One random participant from the July challenges will win a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions. Check out what the other Design Team members have done, too! Ayana ~ Dana ~ Darsie ~ Harriet ~ Joy Julie ~ Makiko ~ Michele ~ Robin Here is the sketch. For my card, I used the Lupine stamp (which is the Stamp of the Week - scroll down just a little bit) and colored it with Stampin' Up! markers. I cut the image with a Nestability and embossed it. I left it in the die, and used Barely Banana chalk around the edges to nearly the center. The matting for all pieces is Mellow Moss. The patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is cut with Nestabilities, also. I added pearls in the corner (per the sketch) and beside the sentiment. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Hi everyone, My card today is a project that I made at a stamp club that I attend each month. This time round our project was given to us by my friend Tracy who showed us how to create this in baby dresser card. My original card I made had a punched bear on it, but when I came home and looked for something to stamp onto the tiny onesie I discovered a cute bear and giraffe stamp which I had to use on my card. Here is another view of my baby dresser … I had a lot of fun creating this and I am sure I will make more in the future. Stamps: Sentiment – SU; Bear & Moon – Hero Arts; Giraffe – Fiskars Paper: White; Blue Other: Black Ink; Pearls; Modern Label Tab Punch; Word Window Punch; Hanger Paper Clip; Foam Tape; Copics
I am having so much fun with all the new Simon Says Stamp Picture Book animal dies!! They are so cute, and so much fun!! I used my Picture Book Giraffe die to make a baby card... I die cut the giraffe in 3 different cardstocks...brown/kraft/tan...diecutting each twice for layering. I adhered them together and adhered them to an embossed giraffe that I hand cut out, to have a whole giraffe to adhere all the pieces to... Here are a few pics to show you what I did... Put the die on a piece of cardstock on an embossing pad, then put the second embossing pad with an acrylic plate over those(if you have a Big Shot)... After running it through, the giraffe will look like the pic on the left, and then you cut him out, like the beginnings of the pic on the right, to have a whole, secure piece to adhere all the little die cut pieces onto. Hope this all makes sense:)! I added a cute sentiment from the Simon Cuddly Critters Accessories stamp set. I used the Tonic Jewel drops to add a few drops of bling to this little cutie!! The card is embossed with a piece of burlap. Here's a close up... Such FUN!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
I was playing along with a couple of challenges and I ended up with two baby cards. The themes and my baby supplies just worked so well together! This card is for two challenges, first to use a wild animal for and second to use a die to make a stencil for Make It Monday. Of course, this isn’t such a wild looking wild animal is it?? LOL! The hearts in the background were die cut from masking paper and the negative was used as a stencil for sponging the aqua mist and harvest gold inks. I hand cut the same piece of masking paper to sponge in some spring moss for the ground. For this card, I was inspired by the latest Fusion challenge which combines a sketch and a lovely nautical bedroom image. And Inspired by… which has an inspiration photo which you can see below. I followed the sketch pretty closely for once using some cardstock and October Afternoon Seaside papers to piece this little sailboat. I should have removed the fish die from the rest using snips before I die cut the sail but I didn’t so I pieced in the fishy too then dubbed this boat the ‘Fishy Cracker’! I had a PTI baby set out from the previous card’s sentiment then saw this one which was so perfect for this card! Funny when things like that happen! Welcome to the MFT Stamps December Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, December at 9 pm Central. As a card maker, having cute images and dies doesn't get any better, unless you can add in an equally fabulous background stamp! Watercolor Stripes Background is that stamp! Check out the two totally different ways that I have used the stamp. And the two totally different looks! I love when stamps are versatile! On my first card, I simply inked Watercolor Stripes Background with Summer Splash ink. The stamp itself has texture which creates a beautiful impression. Not intended to be solid, but to truly mimic a watercolor appearance. Adorable Elephants was once again calling my name. This time I cut watercolor paper with Die-namics Adorable Elephants and watercolored the image with Distress Markers and a paintbrush. (I stamped my image with Natural Hybrid Ink before coloring.) My second card is bright and festive and created with Watercolor Stripes Background as well! Isn't it great what you can create with stamps?!? I trimmed a panel of watercolor paper. Then using Distress Markers, I colored each stripe in the image with a different marker. I lightly spritzed the entire image with water and then stamped the paper. Such a cool look! I was able to create a couple of panels of this background by simply spritzing a little more water on in between each stamping. I finished the card off with a stamped sentiment from Amazing. Underneath, I added a piece of Black Licorice card stock that was cut with Die-namics Doubly Amazing. Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win! thanks for stopping by! kimberly Supplies for Happy Birthday Elephant card, available December 8: InLinkz.com Supplies for Because You Are Amazing card, available December 8: InLinkz.com
Hello everyone, and welcome to the November Case the Designer Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. We are having a little switch around for the November and December challenges, so you can choose from cards designed throughout the year, I chose to CASE this sweet card by the lovely Kim of Cupcakes, Cards and Kim blog I have used up all my baby cards over the past few months so I came up with this one to help replenish my stash. I used the same Papertrey Ink Comic Strip Cover Plate as Kim used, but changed up the contents. I double cut the cover plate so I could inlay the inked paper to give some dimension. The paper, ducks, rattle and dummy are from the Crafter's Companion Little Angel die collection and I die cut and inked them before mounting them onto the panel with foam tape. The die cut 'baby' used the Papertrey Ink Wonderful Words Baby die, and I triple cut it to make it more substantial. To finish it off, I stamped and embossed the 'welcome little' sentiment from the Avery Elle Storybook stamp set before matting and layering the panel onto the base card, and scattering some die cut stars around. You can see all the cards you can CASE for the challenge over on the Happy Little Stampers blog. I'd like to play along with Addicted to Stamps - lots of layers with a stamp CraftyCatz challenge - anything goes with a twist of die cuts/punches Alphabet Challenge - recipe diagonal line sentiment, stamp and embossing Aud Sentiments challenge - cute and a sentiment Thanks for stopping by Hugs Carol x
