"It is her favorite cake that she eats until it is all gone. If there is anything left when she has it at Buckingham Palace," Chef McGrady said, "it then goes to Windsor Castle so she can finish it there. I used to travel on the train from London to Windsor Castle with the biscuit cake in a tin on my knee. It was half eaten."
Image: Hello Magazine of The Queen’s Favourite Chocolate Biscuit Cake The Queen likes to tuck into her favorite chocolate biscuit cake during high tea at Buckingham Palace – and reportedly eats a slice of it every single day! I love this idea that The Queen is a bit of a chocoholic, and enjoys a simple no-bake cake above other more complex cakes. Note: This recipe does contain raw egg yolks. If you are worried about consuming raw eggs you can look for pasteurized eggs at your local grocery store. Pasteurized eggs have been treated to kill bacteria and are safe to eat raw.

We'd love to have afternoon tea with Her Majesty
No-Bake Chocolate Biscuit Cake is a very easy and decadent cake that every chocolate addicted will love!Made with few simple ingredients, like chocolate, butter, sugar and tea biscuits, you can assemble it in few minutes, just be patient for the chilling time in refrigerator (2-3 hours).I suggest to use high quality chocolate like dark chocolate bars (at least 55% cocoa), no compound chocolate, because the chocolate taste is very important in this recipe! You can use any kind of rich tea biscuits you like; I suggest to do not use Digestive or light biscuits, the taste won't be rich and sweet as it should be.Use caster or superfine sugar; if you can't find it, go for powdered sugar. Granulated white sugar is a bit too coarse for this recipe and it won't dissolve completely in the butter mix. This chocolate biscuit cake is perfect as afternoon Tea sweets: it was the favourite Tea cake of Queen Elizabeth II!

Dear readers, it's sad to say but it's true... there is no such thing as an original idea. I love to think I have them all the time but I found something last night that shot my hopes and dreams down. I honestly had it in my mind that I was going to get this idea patented and make millions......I was going to make the circuit and tour the country, no, make that the world!... I was going to be in demand and next big thing! My idea? The Drag Queen Cake... I discovered this last night..... Boo!!! I made "Ta-Ta Licious" about 2 years ago while I was at my mom's during her first shoulder surgery. She had a cake pan for making hoop skirt cakes for birthdays and wedding showers with girl tops and I didn't see why a man doll wouldn't enjoy wearing a frilly dress also. Ah well.... I guess I better get back to working on another idea that will just be pulled out from underneath me. ~UPDATE~ the "this" cake link apparently isn't working due to something going on over at craftster....
