And the beauty of bath rituals is that you don’t need a fancy bathroom or clawfoot tub to soak up their goodness. All you need is water and an intention. From there, you can build a bath ritual that is unique and fulfilling. If you’re curious about how to elevate your ordinary baths into sacred self-care rituals, keep on reading. 1. Set the Mood As your bath is running, take this time to set the mood. One of the best ways to create a relaxing, spa-like ambiance is by dimming the lights and lighting some candles. If there is any visual clutter, remove it from your space so you can focus solely on relaxation. Some people love a silent bath, while others like to play calming music – either is great as long as it aligns with what you need. You can also take this time to focus on some self-care. A few minutes of dry brushing or doing a body gua sha massage can boost circulation, calm stress, and prepare you for a relaxing soak. We also love taking this time to brew a cup of herbal tea, grab a book or journal, and do some deep breathing. 2. Choose an Intention As you prepare your bath, consider what your mind, body, and soul want or need.
