I remember eating at Bob’s Big Boy restaurants when I lived in California years ago. So I was surprised to see the statue in this picture for sale here in Lubbock, Texas.
The Beatles ate at Bob's Big Boy when they were in LA for a concert. There used to be a plaque on "The Beatles Booth" to commemorate the event--but the plaque was stolen so often that the management gave up replacing it. (Update: recent reports suggest that the plaque has been replaced--for now.)

Bob's Big Boy in Burbank, California (1949) is the oldest remaining Big Boy restaurant in America. It incorporates elements of ‘40s Streamline Moderne style and the more free-form "Googie" style of the 1950s.
